Terms of service

These terms govern use of Edith, provided by Operational Software Limited (company number 12141193).

Last updated: 23 September 2026.

Use of Edith

Edith is for Markdown drafting, review, collaboration, sharing, and related AI workflow support. You must use Edith only for lawful, intended purposes.

Accounts and links

  • You are responsible for your account, login access, workspace membership, and invited reviewers.
  • Review and share links can give access to document content. You are responsible for who receives them.
  • If you use Edith for an organisation, you confirm you are authorised to do so.

Your content

You keep ownership of content you put in Edith. You grant us the limited rights needed to host, process, display, transmit, back up, and secure that content so Edith can operate.

Acceptable use

Do not use Edith to break the law, infringe rights, upload harmful content, harass others, send spam, scrape, overload, probe, reverse engineer, bypass controls, or interfere with service security. We may suspend or remove access for misuse, risk, non-payment, or legal reasons.

Paid plans

  • Paid plans renew monthly or annually, according to the period you choose, until cancelled. The price, billing period, plan limits, and final amount including applicable tax are shown before payment.
  • Purchases are sold through Onelink, built by Stripe. Onelink is the merchant of record and handles payment, tax, receipts, invoices, refunds, and transaction support. Its terms and privacy notice also apply to the transaction.
  • You can manage or cancel a subscription through billing settings or by contacting Edith. Cancellation normally takes effect at the end of the current paid period, when Solo access returns to Free and Team access becomes inactive.
  • Refund requests are handled through Onelink payment support. Nothing in these terms affects rights that cannot legally be excluded.

We may change plans, prices, or features, with notice where reasonable. A price change applies from a later renewal unless you agree otherwise.

Disclaimers and liability

Edith is provided as is and as available. We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or loss-free service. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect loss, lost profits, lost revenue, loss of data, or business interruption. Our total liability is limited to fees paid for Edith in the previous 12 months, or GBP 100 for free use. Nothing limits liability that cannot legally be limited.

Ending use and law

You may stop using Edith at any time. Contact us if you want to close an account, request an export, reactivate or close an inactive Team, transfer Team ownership, or recover a Team with no available administrator. We may suspend, terminate, or change the service where needed. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
